If you were stranded in deserted island, what 5 things would you take and why?

I WANT A SERIOUS ANSWER!!! I NEED MORE DETAILS....LIKE AN PARAGRAPH FORM...

HERE'S ARE THE CHOICES:

pocket knife,machete,flashlight,matches,life boat,axe,flint,emergency blanket,tent,solar battery,shovel,first aid kit,fish net,bowl/pot,binoculars,hat,perification tablets,fish line and hooks paper and pen,extra shoes....

If you were stranded in deserted island, what 5 things would you take and why?
i will first of all have pocket knife and match with me as pocket knife will help cut wood and match will light it.and pocket knife will also help me cut coconut from trees in the island if there r any so that i can eat and get water from it too.

3: will be a tent for shelter,4th would be binoculars from which i can look if i can see any ships approaching and ask for help

5: would be boat with rows so that i can row my way to a land with help on it. that would have to be inflatable ofcouurse as u said in knap sack

i would not choose 1: a fish line and hooks as i dont like eating fish and that is also on chance if u can catch any. 2. no need for shovel except to dig my poop that i can do without a shovel like with my shoes.3: i wont need any extra shoes as i will choose shoes like flipflops which r good on sand.4: no need for fishnet as well as i dont like fish and i will have to get in water to put in the fish net and have to know how to use it and i dont.5: would be flint or matchet as u allow only 5 or i would have taken them too just like first aid and solar battery

but i would if have a chance get a bag in which i could keep a book to read and paper and pen to write a diary, and first aid for when i get hurt and an emergency blanket for the cold but i could manage with a fire
Reply:boat, gps, fuel for boat
Reply:1.machete(cuts wood and like things and also for protection) 2.flint(firestarter that doesnt run out like matches or lighters) 3.boat(obvious-may be only chance of getting off) 4.emergency blanket(may keep you alive) 5.first aid kit (samereasoning as the blanket, may keep you alive while you adapt to this new lifestyle) I believe if you have these things and a little common sense you shouldbe able to survive. and if your stranded on a deserted island thats going to be your number 1 concern. p.s. i know you said not to joke but i cant resist-i would also have to have a volleyball to keep me company.
Reply:First aid kit, pocket knife, emergency blanket, fish line %26amp; hooks and a flashlight. Because that's the things you would most need.
Reply:i would bring a boat, pocket knife, a fish net, matches, and a first aid kit because u could get off the island with the boat and it may take a while to get to shore. while u wiat u could fish with the net and then if u catch something u could skin it then cook it then eat the fish and incase something bad happens a first aid kit. u just never know
Reply:Since you say I'm stranded on the island a boat makes no sense. If I had a boat I wouldn't be stranded. So, I'm on an island, the fish line and hooks would be the first on my list. I'm not into hunting but I could catch a fish and eat it if I had too. My second choice would be a knife. For many reasons, protection, to use as a tool. Third choice matches, even islands get cold at night and although I'd eat sushi I'd rather my fish cooked. Fourth choice a flashlight for things that go bump in the night. My fifth and final choice would be the machete to hack through the brush, cut small tree's etc. . . I could always find shelter on the island and make a hat from a big leaf. If I could just take one more thing with me, pleazzzzz, it would be the first aid kit.

PS: YOU SOUND LIKE MY FIFTH GRADE TEACHER, IS THAT YOU MRS. CRONIN?????
Reply:A pillow, bathing suit, a good book, a hot man and condoms!!!

BTW, not everyone has time to answer paragraph form! Why don't you just watch survivor!
Reply:no need to yell!

If I were stranded on,not in,a deserted island I would choose first to take matches of course to stay warm, cook whatever fish I would catch with my net, build a bonfire to attrack planes, boats, rescue people. Also,a flashlight would come in handy because I am scared of the dark, and it would help me find my way around at night.I think an axe would be needed to chop down vines, wood to fuel my fire, food for eating, such as fruits and fish.Last but not least I would choose a life boat, and bypass all the other things and row safely home.
Reply:Just the one: A boat.
Reply:Well you don't mention if I would have another person or not. So in that case, I would have my beautiful lover with me. We would both be very skilled in survival techniques. We would have a boat, knife, machete, blanket, fish line. With our survival training, I believe we could make some comfortable accomodations and survive quite well.
Reply:the weather started getting rough ..the tiny ship was tossed if not for the courage of the fearless crew the minnow would be lost..............
Reply:I would take a machete, because you need it to cut things in the jungle. I would take matches, because you need them to light fire. I would take a tent, because it would be a nice form of shelter. I would take a fish line and hooks so I could catch fish. I would take a first aid kit for when I get hurt.
Reply:Flashlight, solar battery

emergency blanket

pocket knife

Machete

I would choose these items for survival because, the blanket will keep the chill off at night as the desert can be cold, flashlight and solar battery for vision in the dark, machete and pocket knife for one some sense of protection, food, and moisture from the cactus. The machete to chop off the tall cactus leaves, and the pocket knife to skim off the needles so I could eat the cactus for nutrition and moisture.
Reply:hmmm

Boat... to get off the island

first aid kit... incase i hurt myself

Axe... to kill stuff for food

Matches...To heat and cook food !
Reply:pocket knife.

boat.

first aid.

fishing supplies.

emergency blanket.

thats my choices!

hope i helped!

God Bless!
Reply:first i would take a flint because theses never run out of fuel

second i would take a boat i pretty strong one that could stand tough winds

third i would take fish line and hooks because everybody has to eat

fourth i would take a first aid kits because if i get hurt i could help my self

fifth i would take a pocket knife /machete
Reply:Well from your choices

I would take the pocket knife, since I had it I would not take the machete. I would leave the flashlight, and take the match build a fire for light the blanket for warmth leave the tent I would build shelter. The first aid kit, and the fish net more chance of getting a little more than fish. No pen and paper I could write in the sand.

But then again I could just take the boat and leave.
Reply:Sunglasses, a good knife, the love of my life, a copy of the Canterbury Tales, and a large supply of exquisite dark chocolate to be rationed.

I choose these because I would like to protect my eyes, have good company, one tool that would get the most use, something to read that I would never tire of, and something I love that I would not be able to get.

I am intelligent and inventive, so I should be able to devise things I need. and who needs clothing on a deserted island??!?
Reply:matches - For lighting fire

Boat - so I could fish or leave the island.

Fish net - So I could eat.

Pocket knife - For everything for cutting sticks for a fire to fileting my fish

First aid Kit - for the inevitable health issues.
Reply:I would actually only need three essentials!

A Machete, a wet-stone and a magnifying glass.

The machete is the primary tool. In many rain forest environments it is all that is required to cultivate food, reap grasses for conversion into rope and to cut wood. It also makes a good weapon in extremis.

The wet-stone would be needed to maintain a good edge to the machete.

The magnifying glass makes fire lighting reasonably easy, even with damp kindling. With fire it is also feasible to make charcoal, which is an essential in any water filtration system.

Extra implements?........... what about an adze?.......... I have a fine set of photos of the construction of a 30ft boat, which was carved from a hardwood bole in Nicaragua............. using an adze and a Machete!.......... a machete can be used a a draw plane, for fine work, like the outer skin of a boat.

Adze's are also excellent for cultivating hard ground!

Finally, I would want a large space blanket. Apart from the insulative value, they are completely waterproof and make fine shelters and signalling reflectors!.......... to augment the signal fire, lit by the magnifying glass!
Reply:Matches, fish net, solar battery, boat and pocket knife...

It has to be a survival kit...

With Matches you can prepare the fish... Keep warm at night and make light.

And the rest is just obvious..

Reply:well first I would have one of those combo things that has a flashlight, radio, cellphone charger that uses a hand crank (seen one advertised the other day). A good Leatherman multi-tooled knife, a deck of cards (to keep the mind sharp), flint, and a good book, like the "Walking Drum", by Louis L'Amour.
Reply:i would probaly put things that could fit in my pocket or in a backpack.....but seriously how would you get to that island and why would you even think about doing that, but you never know when something like that is bound to happen,so depending on what your gonna take is what is going to be near you...thats all i goota say...have fun, hope you have cellphone reception...lol :)

2. Flint %26amp; Steel

3. Fishing line %26amp; hooks

4. Seeds

5. Plastic Sheeting/Tarps

The pocket knife can be used to cut or shape many things. The flint can be used to start a fire under almost any conditions. The fishing equipment should be able to provide you with a source of protein on almost any island. Seeds will allow to grow your own fruits and vegetables (Might have to do some composting to get rich enough soil!) and a continuous supply of seeds. The plastic sheeting could be used to make solar stills or temporary housing.
Reply:well, i would take the life boat, so then i wouldnt be on the island, but id take the fishing line and hooks, binoculars, a hat, and the 1st aid kit.
Reply:fish line and hooks cuz eating fish is healthy and would keep me alive till a ship or helicopter finds me.

first aid kit. i've got to treat myself fast if i get hurt, who knows i wont fall off a tree when i'm getting fruits.

paper and pen, to make a journal so my adventure would not remain secret whether i'm rescued or die; at least i'll be remembered for bravery for so many generations.

pocket knife. its useful in a variety of ways, cutting twigs to make ropes and

make a house out of wood by cutting down trees with an axe

i've answered, now do me a favor of choosing me best answer.

please ;)
