Question about police.?

So, my friend and I got pulled over right.


He finds my friends bowl.


So he searches everybody.


Funny story, at least I think so.


Anyways, revert back before anyone got searched.


The cop walks up to me, looks at me.


"Got any needles?"


I'm like wtf?


I dont think i look like a junkie.

So, he asks me to step out of the car, i get out, locking the door behind me.


He asks to search me, i consent because I have nothing on me.


Okay, no big deal, i sit down in the grass. (I asked him too. I always say what im gonna do to the police)


He searches my friend and finds a bowl tucked in his boxers.


He searches everybody. Finds nothing.


Searches the car, finds nothing.


He comes back to me.


he searches me again, this time with crotch searching.


Is this normal?


Can they legally search me more than 1 time?


Both times not finding anything.


I had to be a sarcastic kid and say, well, you wanna search my shoes now?


He declined. (good, wasn't wearing socks')

Question about police.?

Reply:Ha well Im almost positive since you consented the first time that he doesnt have to ask again. Plus after finding something on a friend he probably thought he didnt search well enough the first go around.





Regardless, he didnt find anything else so it doesnt really matter. Glad he didnt find anything on ya though :)
Reply:You forgot the part about what you were doing to get pulled over in the first place.
Reply:as long as you're consenting the search, he can search you as many times as you allow.
Reply:Yes he technically can search you twice. If looking for something different. You cant be tired in court for the same crime twice if already tried. Thats double jeopardy. Odd story though.
Reply:Weapons/contraband are often found in a secondary search.
