ok i am a 16 year old. Where i work i met this girl. (figure id give alittle back ground info first) whenever im around her i have this problem with clamming up. thinking that she will be judgemental but yet i know she wont be. the only place we realy talked was at work. I had asked her what she was doing on a Friday and we ended up going bowling together. that night i got her number. ive "hung" out with her a couple times after that. We went to a pool hall with some friends and she grabbed my sandals and her exact words "skiing" in my shoes. She has even given me a nick name (the Pretty Pretty Princes) and ive got no idea where that has come from. she always tries to get me to talk alot. she has huged me once from behind when i wasnt expecting it. she also wants me to go get peircings with her...i am truely confused because she still acts like she wants to just be friends. (and by the way she is 18)

Reply:Well, since she is 18 and you are a minor, it is technically illegal for her to date, the same as it would be if the genders were reversed.


So far nothing she has done has crossed the line from friendly to flirting. You could try asking her out on a real date if you want to, but I don't think there's a high chance of success.





Btw, "Pretty Pretty Princess" is the name of a children's board game where girls can pretend to be princesses, live in a castle, ride unicorns, all that pink and fluffy girly stuff. So by calling you a "prince", she might be joking that you're cute and innocent. But you'd have to ask her exactly what she means by it.

Reply:Hm......, I may get confused too if I were you. But you will have to find out what kinda person she is. But what makes you say that she acts like she wants to be just friends. Normally a woman wouldn't get a guy to fo get peircing with her, to me they treat this as something personal. Just like gals don't normally share the same cup with a guy. And they will never hug you. So unless she is the kind of gal who is not that conservative, things like this could happen, nothing personal for this sentence.


You also mentioned she gave you a nice nick. Maybe she could be treating you for a younger brother. You can try telling her that you are fond of her (if you really do) and see how she reacts. Try all means to find out, no harm even if she knows that you likes her when she doesn't feels that way, cus if she is not the conservative type then things like this could be normal for her.
